Do Only Dummies Fall For Socialism?

Are we too smart & well informed to accept Socialism…but there is a pernicious form of it attacking us now!

Some people define Socialism as strictly Marxism, or, a Command Economy: the Government owning the means of production. Others know that government control but not ownership of all the means of production is also Socialism. The government supposedly controls production in the people’s interest, so the owners aren’t striving for their own profits, but to serve the people…or the state, which represents the people in one body. Mussolini called this “state collectivism,” or “fascism.”

Fascism is a form of anti-Marxian Socialism, but there are others, like Fabian Socialism. They say they want a slower formation and education of the people until the right time, when they “strike hard” for their utopia.

John Maynard Keynes defined Silvio Gesell’s “demand-pull” economic theories as “a form of anti-Marxian Socialism.” Keynes said they had value but weren’t quite right. He then invented his own “demand-pull” theories.

Keynes called for a “socialization of the economy,” based on his idea that government created demand creates its own supply; and his system would have to be in place continuously, to “create something approximating full employment.”

Does “demand create its own supply?”

John Maynard Keynes flipped his incorrect understating of Say’s Law on its head, saying it doesn’t work! His theory opposes a strawman! Why is it so important to understand this?
